“Katy’s training was informative, hands on, accessible and what I really appreciated - it was comfortable. Participants shared easily throughout the training and I gained so much from Katy providing such a collaborative learning experience.”

Hi- I'm Katy, a creative arts therapist and licensed psychotherapist. I've always loved making things and losing myself in the process, so I found a way to blend creativity with the types of therapy I was already doing. I'm passionate about helping other counselors and clinicians to weave creativity and art into their work, so I started teaching, blogging, and making videos. In fact, I love teaching in general, so I've also made courses about other important topics such as sleep. You can find my work at www.katymacrae.com, and you can also view my videos here.
I've worked at Yale University and Yale New Haven Hospital for over 15 years, and during this time I was trained in DBT (Yale) and CBT (Beck Institute). Now I have a full time private practice: Mindful Creativity Studio. I can't tell you how happy I am to be able to be creative with my clients every single day- my work is truly a joy now! My clients frequently tell me how lucky they feel to have found me, and I know so many more are longing to work with therapists who can provide creativity in their practice.
I hope you enjoy these courses, and if you're interested in having me present at your live event, chatting about hair color, or have a hot tip about art supplies, drop me a line: [email protected].
